About

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.”    ~Henry Miller

Vamoos is a blog inspired by my perpetual desire to gallivant about the globe. It began as a medium through which to indulge my curiosity for the richness of human experience and to dream of exploring different cultures. But in the spirit of Henry Miller’s ‘new way of seeing’ I have become more interested in how to be not only a world traveller, but a life traveller.

Thus, Vamoos has become a virtual notebook for things that inspire the gallivanter in me:  A way to be present to the world around me and to be a’permanent tourist’, in the best sense of the phrase.

Inspired by a desire to make new lands familiar, I hope that this blog will help make familiar lands new.
